Pimpri Chinchwad: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj will be portrayed in the Marathi play 'Shivtandav'

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the adorable deity of Maharashtra. The glorious history of Chhatrapati Shivaraya is now going to unfold on Marathi theatre. The name of this Marathi play is 'Shivtandav' and actor Shantanu Moghe will play the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The Samhita Poojan ceremony of this play concluded today with great enthusiasm at the Morya Gosavi Temple in Chinchwad.

On this occasion, the producer of the play 'Shivtandav', Aakhil Bhartiya Natya Parishad Central Branch Vice President Bhausaheb Bhoir, director Dilip Bhosale, actor Shantanu Moghe and other actors and technicians of the drama were present.

While giving information about the play, director Dilip Bhosle said, "Before Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's rule, we were under Mughal rule. Shivaji Maharaj said that plays are shown in a certain way in cinema, but we have tried to reveal the all-round personality of Shivaji Maharaj, his various aspects through the play 'Shivtandav'.

There are 37 actors in this play and we are trying to take this play to a different height. Veteran writer Pratap Gangawane has written the play and we have been preparing the play for the past six months. The actors have been selected from the auditions of more than two hundred and fifty actors.

Music composer Rohit Nagbhide has got music for 'Shivtandav. Nepathya belongs to Baba Parsekar and the facilitators are Raju Bang, Bhairavanath Sherkhane. Bhosle expressed the belief that the play will succeed in winning the hearts of the fans with its grand scenery, great music, soul-stirring songs and powerful dialogues.

Bhausaheb Bhoir, the producer of the play said, Morya Theaters always try to give something different to the interested audience through movies and plays. To show the bravery of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to today's generation, we decided to produce 'Shivtandav'. With the witness of Morya Gosavi, the code of drama has been worshiped today.

The first play will be held on March 28 at Chinchwad. It will be held at Prof. Ramakrishna More Theatre. Bhoir also said that the first experiments of this play are already being requested from various parts of the state and six experiments will be conducted in Goa in the first week of April.
