Pune: The selection list of students who have qualified for the scholarship in the NMMS examination has been released on the website of the State Council of Examination. A total of 2,66,352 students had appeared for the exam. The Union Ministry of Education has fixed a quota of 11,682 students for Maharashtra. Students of 7th and 8th class according to the state reservation. The district-wise quota is decided on the basis of the number of students in the age group of 12 to 14.
This was informed by Anuradha Oak, Commissioner, Council of Examinations, through a press release. The scholarship is given to students from economically weaker sections. The selected students will get a stipend of Rs 12,000 per annum for a period of four years from class IX to XII. The NMMS examination for the academic year 2023-24 was conducted by the State Examination Council on December 24. The results of the examination were declared on February 7. Time was given to make corrections in the information of students, caste, disability, date of birth etc. After considering these amendments, the final selection list of scholarship students was announced.
