In the 2024 T20 World Cup Super8, 20 teams participated for the first time, divided into 4 groups with 5 teams each. Every team played 4 matches, and the top 2 from each group advanced to the Super8. The Super8 consists of 8 teams split into 2 groups, with 4 teams in each. The top 2 teams from each Super8 group will move on to the semi-finals.
The Super8 teams are divided into groups based on seedings by the ICC before the World Cup. Seeding helps determine the matchups in the Super8. Teams that were seeded but did not qualify were replaced by unseeded teams.
Teams that topped their groups in the initial stage do not gain any advantage in the Super8. The group standings after the remaining matches do not affect the points in the World Cup.
What were the teams seeded by the ICC in each group?
A1 – India
B1 – England
C1 – New Zealand
D1 – South Africa
