Yangon :Nearly 2,000 homes in northern Myanmar’s Kachin State have been vacated as the Ayeyarwady River overflowed above the peril mark due to heavy rains, according to the Kachin state government on Monday. There have been no reported losses and ongoing deliverance operations, a member from the Kachin stated government.
The affected residers have been moved to temporary harbors in 30 seminaries, churches, and cloisters across the region, he said. 1,000 people are trapped in Myitkyina and Waingmaw townships due to heavy rains. the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology on Monday, the Ayeyarwady River overflowed about five bases above the peril mark in Myitkyina Township. The swash is anticipated to rise by another two bases in the coming two days and remains above the Myitkyina Township’s peril mark.
