In the last day, health officials under Hamas control reported that 40 Palestinians died and 224 were wounded in Israeli strikes in Gaza.

Health authorities reported on Saturday that the total number of Palestinian fatalities has risen to 37,834, with 86,858 injuries recorded since the start of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in October 2023.

According to reports from Xinhua news agency, officials stated that rescue teams encountered major challenges in accessing areas under attack because of a lack of fuel and fierce battles between Israeli forces and Palestinian armed groups, especially in Rafah city and Shujaeya neighborhood in Gaza.

Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee stated on Saturday that Israeli forces are still targeting "terrorist" locations in the Shujaeya area, engaging in combat both above and below the surface.

In recent hours, the military forces have taken out numerous "saboteurs" in battles, and they also discovered a weapons storage facility within a school compound in the region, he mentioned.

According to Adraee, Israeli forces in Rafah took out multiple "saboteurs" and demolished numerous "terrorist" infrastructure, such as tunnel entrances.

At the same time, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East pointed out on social media platform X that hundreds of thousands of Gazans are still facing significant shortages of housing, food, healthcare, and safe water, worsened by limited access at border crossings.

The US-operated temporary aid pier, which was anchored off the Gaza coast to assist in delivering humanitarian aid, was taken down by the Pentagon on Friday because of bad weather. This is the third disruption since mid-May.

Sabrina Singh, Deputy Pentagon Press, mentioned that moving the pier temporarily will avoid possible structural harm from the increased sea conditions.
