The G-7 Summit for this year is taking place in Italy, and Prime Minister Modi arrived in Apulia this morning to participate in the conference. During the afternoon of Friday, June 14, he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zeleski, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, and French President Emmanuel Macron. The discussions mainly revolved around enhancing bilateral relations.

This meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelesky marked the second time Prime Minister Modi and President Zelesky met during the Russia-Ukraine war, indicating a significant level of deliberation. Their first encounter was at the G-7 summit held in Japan in 2023. Prime Minister Modi restated India's position on the conflict, emphasizing the necessity of resolving disputes through dialogue.

In addition to this, Prime Minister Modi engaged in discussions with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and French President Emmanuel Macron. The meeting with Rishi Sunak focused on further strengthening bilateral relations and the strategic partnership between India and Britain. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported an exchange with French President Emmanuel Macron, covering increased cooperation in defense, nuclear, space, and digital technology sectors.

Following the meeting with Emmanuel Macron, Prime Minister Modi shared his thoughts on social media. He highlighted that it was his fourth visit in the past year and emphasized discussions on defense, technology, security, and advancing the research sector. Furthermore, he extended his well wishes to Emmanuel Macron for organizing the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris next year.
