Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico sustained serious injuries in a shooting incident in Prague. Fico was shot while attending a political event on Wednesday afternoon, with reports indicating he was seriously wounded by a bullet to the stomach. The assailant responsible for the attack has been apprehended, as confirmed by the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Slovakia. The incident took place at the House of Culture in the town of Handlova, located approximately 150 kilometers from the capital Bratislava, where the attacker fired four shots outside the building before targeting Fico. This episode occurred just three weeks before the crucial European Union elections.
