The second match of the three-match T20 series between America and Bangladesh took place on Thursday. America emerged victorious, defeating Bangladesh by six runs, securing a 2-0 lead in the series. Prior to this, America had won the first T20 match by five wickets. This defeat marks Bangladesh's second embarrassment at the international level before the T20 World Cup 2024.

In the match held at Prairie View Cricket Complex, America batted first and scored 144 runs, losing six wickets. The visiting team was then limited to 138 runs in 19.3 overs. Ali Khan played a crucial role in America's triumph by taking three Bangladesh batsmen. He dismissed Shakib-al-Hasan, Tanzim Hasan Sheikh, and Rishad Hussain. Ali Khan, born in Pakistan, conceded only 2 runs in 3.3 overs.

During America's innings, a solid start was made with a 44-run partnership for the first wicket between captain Monak Patel and Steven Taylor. Rishad Hussain broke this partnership by dismissing Steven for 31 runs. Subsequently, Andre Goss was out for a duck.
